in 2011, julia thompson (dj black b1tch) gave me a tdk sa90 tape of a spontaneous live jam by insync recorded in her flat in forest hill, south london in march 1991. she had found it in a drawer when clearing out stuff. she gave it to me to listen to simply thinking i might be interested in hearing it. of course i was, particularly because the date on the tape immediately told me that the session was recorded more than a year before the release of insyncs debut, the seminal storm on irdial discs.

next up on i m in love is the launch of their new serie iil limited with the intention to provide a platform dedicated to release music with a greater focus on analogue, raw-sounding house & techno apart of the labels main work with a limitation to 50 vinyls only. the two track ep comes from buenos aires based artist matheu 646 who is an essential part of the argentian techno/house scene for more than ten years now. besides constantly playing various clubs around south america, be it solo or as one part of the dj duo proyecto house, he is the co-founder of buenos aires sound culture, a music collective organising one of the cities best underground parties! the a-side comes with a heavy kick, a changing 303 bassline and hypnotic chords which gives us a good example of matheu 646s approach to the deeper side of techno. *grey winds* is an old-school sounding jam with deep chords and melancholic strings, finished by energetic, classic claps!

we are proud to unveil the seventh release on telefonplan, osirus ep from anders hellberg, a berlin based producer and dj from south sweden. with osirus ep, it is immediately clear that anders is a fan and follower of the old school techno with elements of detroit techno and acid. four righteous slabs of hardware goodness is on the menu this time, all served tight and driving. from the opening track *beyond the stratosphere* with its pulsating rhythm and hypnotizing chords to *gondor*, a heavier, darker and dubbier acid anders showcases his uniquely modern flavour of techno. on the flip, *osirus* is a floor burning chord jam and *respond* finishes things perfect with hypnotic melody.

roots go deep are a label devoted to releasing music by south african artists. since 2012 they ve released seven eps by names like d.nel, makhen gigga and label owners ofuren and fred buddah. now that they ve established themselves in the digital realm of music, roots go deep arrive on the physical medium with a split ep of deep and dubby sounds from ofuren and fred buddah. the two provide two collaborative tracks in -floral synergy- - a woozy house jam in line with mcde s raw cuts - and -do deejays dream of dancing sheep-, a sublime mix of subaqueous chords, chilled out drums and touch of acid. buddah just about goes ambient on his solo track -ragan- while ofuren keeps it heads down and uber-dub on -ripples through reflection-. roots go deep indeed.

killer debut album from jared wilson on his own label 7777. wilson states the album draws inspiration from the literal underclass. ghost miners is influenced and dedicated to all those who have worked and lived underground, from gold miners in south africa, copper miners in the 1800s in northern michigan, the mole people of nyc to orphans living under bucharest. raw acid and techno of the highest caliber as only jared wilson can do!

20 years in showbiz dj & producer ask:me (aka melih ask) s musical direction forges a sound of real house music because everybody understand house music, as it s a spiritual thing. he teamed up with munich s house giant, b.vivant who has an obvious commitment and passion for house music since over 15 years. together they present satisfaction , a deep house vocal bomb, which presents nice sounds from african music tools. so maybe that s the reason why the brillian south african vocalist, lokka gave her nice voice for this summer feeling tune. the huge deep impact remix comes from the colognes most wanteds bedrud & giese.

breathtaking contemporary spiritual jazz from south africa ... when tumi mogorosi composed this suite for jazz musicians and opera vocalists he had never heard the previous successful attempts by donald byrd, max roach or mary lou williams to combine these seemingly unfriendly aesthetics. tumi, born in 1987 and already an accomplished drummer on the joburg scene, was at the time studying music at the tshwane university of pretoria where he became close friends with opera singers working on the same campus. so unlike some of his us peers tumis beliefs are not religious.

great reissue of this early 80s boogie classic from sandy kerr. with production duties undertaken by sandys father, prolific soul writer/producer george kerr alongside sugarhill hip-hop/electro artist reggie griffin, and engineered by bob blank, this is a superb chugging uptempo boogie/rap cut based on a sample from uk band i-levels club hit *give me* which came out the same year. as well as filling floors across the us it was a big underground favourite in the uk for djs such as greg wilson. released on small south carolina label catawba, this 12 inch features the killer in-demand dub chimental version on the flip as well as sandys smooth rapping a-side. dont miss!
